Union Gap water system maintenance
UNION GAP -- The city of Union Gap will conduct routine maintenance of its water system by flushing water through fire hydrants from Monday to May 30.
To cause the least disruption for residents, this activity will be done between 11 p.m. and 3:30 a.m.
City officials anticipate most people won't notice any water discoloration. But for those who do, they're advised to stop using the water if possible, avoid washing laundry and running the dishwasher. Also, they should not use a water purifier since it would become plugged.
People are also advised to keep a container of water available in the event they want a drink during the late-night hours.
For more information, contact the Public Works Administration office at 225-3524.
